An hour of your time can help local families begin their journeys toward financial stability. The Franklin County EITC Coalition is looking for volunteers to help with operations at its tax assistance sites. 

Volunteers can serve in any of the following roles:

  1. Translator--provides translation support to tax preparers serving clients that speak another language
  2. Greeter--welcomes clients to tax sites and manages the Coalition check-in process
  3. Intake Specialist--reviews client documentation and answers questions about site process
  4. Tax Preparer--counsels clients regarding tax law and completes and files their returns
  5. Quality Reviewer--checks completed returns for accuracy

All volunteers must register with the Coalition and complete an IRS volunteer agreement form prior to working at a tax site.

If preparing taxes or conducting quality reviews, volunteers must participate in Coalition training or self-certify through Link & Learn Taxes prior to working with returns.
