An hour of your time could help a working mother of two claim a refund of up to 25 percent of her annual income. The Franklin County EITC Coalition is looking for volunteers to help with operations at its tax assistance sites.

Volunteers can serve in any of the following roles:

Site Coordinator

Provides general oversight and management for tax assistance sites.

Greeter

Welcomes clients to tax sites and manages the Coalition check-in process

Intake Specialist

Reviews client documentation and answers questions about site process

Tax Preparer

Counsels clients regarding tax law and completes and files their returns

Quality Reviewer

Checks completed returns for accuracy

All volunteers must sign-up with the Coalition and complete an IRS volunteer agreement form prior to working at a tax site. If preparing taxes or conducting quality reviews, the volunteer must participate in a Coalition-sponsored training or self-certify through Link & Learn Taxes prior to handling any returns.
